Beyond the Mat
Vakhtang Lolua began wrestling at a young age in Georgia. He achieved his first international success at the 2024 U17 World Wrestling Championships with a silver medal in the 60kg category.
In September 2025, Lolua represented Georgia at the World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, defeating China's Shi Huoying 9-1, Romania's Denis Mihai 3-2, tying Turkey's Muhammet Emin Cakir 2-2 (advancing on criteria), and beating Iran's Payam Ahmadi 9-7 in the final to capture the world title.
